Whether you are a buyer hunting for a rare vintage tour tee or a seller parting with a signed first-edition vinyl, we are committed to protecting your privacy through industry-standard security and transparent data practices.
1. Information We Collect
To provide a seamless marketplace experience, we collect three categories of information.
A. Information You Give to Us
Account Information: When you sign up for a ReMerch Search account, we require certain information such as your first name, last name, email address, and date of birth (to verify you are over 18).
Profile and Listing Information: If you are a seller, we collect information regarding the items you list, your shop name, and any biographical “About the Seller” text you provide.
Payment Information: To facilitate transactions, we collect financial information (like your bank account or credit card details) via our third-party payment processors. Note: ReMerch Search does not store full credit card numbers on our own servers.
Identity Verification: For high-value sellers or auction participants, we may require a government-issued ID or other verification data to ensure the integrity of our marketplace.
B. Information We Automatically Collect
Usage Information: We collect information about your interactions with the platform, such as the pages or content you view, your searches for artists/genres, and the listings you add to your “Wishlist.”
Log Data and Device Information: We automatically collect log data when you access the platform, including your IP address, access dates and times, hardware/software information, and device event information.
Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies to keep you logged in, remember your cart, and tailor your experience. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use, store, and process your information to provide, understand, improve, and develop the ReMerch Search marketplace.
Fulfillment: To enable the purchase and delivery of memorabilia. (e.g., sharing your shipping address with the seller).
Personalization: To suggest artists and genres based on your browsing history (e.g., “Because you liked The Black Dahlia Murder, check out these Apath listings”).
Safety and Security: To detect and prevent fraud, spam, abuse, and security incidents. We use this data to verify seller authenticity and protect buyers.
Communication: To send you service messages, updates, security alerts, and account notifications. With your consent, we will also send you marketing emails regarding “Featured Drops” or “Auction Alerts.”
3. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes. We only share information in the following circumstances:
Between Buyers and Sellers: When a transaction occurs, we share the necessary information to perform the contract. For example, the Seller receives the Buyer’s shipping address to mail the item.
Service Providers: We share information with third-party service providers who help us operate (e.g., shipping carriers like UPS/FedEx, payment processors like Stripe, and cloud hosting services).
Legal Obligations: We may disclose your information to courts, law enforcement, or governmental authorities if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request.
Business Transfers: If ReMerch Search is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that deal.
4. Your Rights and Choices
We believe you should have control over your data. Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

ReMerch Search is based in North Carolina. Information collected may be stored and processed in any country where we engage service providers. By using our platform, you consent to the transfer of information to countries outside of your country of residence, which may have different data protection rules than those of your country.
7. Children’s Privacy
Our marketplace is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.

ReMerch Search reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make material changes, we will post the revised policy on the platform and update the “Last Updated” date at the top. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
