Return Policy

At ReMerch Search, we deal in music history—one-of-a-kind vintage tees, signed vinyl, and rare concert posters. Because our marketplace consists of independent sellers and unique collectibles, our return policy is designed to protect the integrity of the item while ensuring every buyer receives exactly what they paid for.

The ReMerch Guarantee

Every purchase made through the ReMerch Search secure checkout is backed by our Buyer Protection. If your item does not arrive, or if it arrives and is “Significantly Not as Described,” you are entitled to a full refund of the purchase price and original shipping costs.

What Qualifies as “Significantly Not as Described”

An item is considered significantly different from the listing if:

  • Incorrect Item: The item is a different version, artist, or title than what was listed.

  • Condition Misrepresentation: The condition is materially different (e.g., the listing said “Mint,” but the vinyl has deep scratches that skip).

  • Authenticity Issues: The item is proven to be a counterfeit or unauthorized reproduction when sold as “original” or “authentic.”

  • Undisclosed Damage: Major damage is present that was not disclosed in the photos or description (e.g., significant stains, holes, or cracks).

  • Missing Components: Parts of the item are missing that were expected (e.g., a signed booklet is missing from a CD).

What Does Not Qualify for a Refund

Because we are a peer-to-peer marketplace, we generally do not support returns for “Buyer’s Remorse.” This includes:

  • Sizing Issues: The item does not fit (we encourage all sellers to provide measurements for apparel).

  • Change of Mind: You changed your mind after the auction ended or the purchase was completed.

  • Price Variance: You found a better price elsewhere.

  • Vintage Character: The item shows minor wear consistent with its age that was visible in the listing photos.

The Return Process

If there is an issue with your order, you must act quickly to ensure your protection:

  1. Notification: You must notify ReMerch Search and the Seller via the “Order Support” button within 7 calendar days of the delivery date shown by the tracking information.

  2. Evidence: You will be required to provide clear photographs of the item, the packaging, and the specific area of concern.

  3. Resolution: We first allow the Buyer and Seller 48 hours to reach a mutual agreement (such as a partial refund for minor undisclosed damage). If no agreement is reached, ReMerch Search will mediate.

  4. Return Shipping: If a return is approved, the Buyer must ship the item back to the Seller within 5 business days using a tracked and insured shipping method.

Authenticity Disputes

We take authenticity seriously. If you believe a signed item or “original” print is a fake, ReMerch Search may require a third-party authentication opinion (from a recognized authority in music memorabilia) to process the claim. If the item is found to be counterfeit, the Seller will be permanently banned and a full refund will be issued.

Refund Processing

Once the Seller receives the returned item in its original sent condition, the refund will be processed back to your original payment method. Please allow 5–10 business days for the funds to appear in your account, depending on your financial institution.

Seller-Specific Policies

While our site-wide policy covers “Not as Described” items, individual Sellers may choose to offer more generous return windows (e.g., a 14-day “no questions asked” return). Please check the “Shop Policies” section on the Seller’s profile before completing your purchase.
